Time travel... Well today morning this topic flashed for an instantaneous second and then i continued with my day's work.At night I read about the dream BLOG : 2050 -A journey http://earth2050.blogspot.com/.......journey made the thought of "time travel" to flash again in my mind..and then I visited a blogger's site who has described himself as "time traveller"...3 times the same topic popped into my mind.. oh my god..couldnt resist it now.. writing the 2nd blog....
What is Time travel ?? It is an abstract topic of discussion yet an interesting one. I welcome all your thoughts and comments on this.FEEL FREE TO SAY WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT TIME TRAVEL...

Have read a lot abt time travel and wish I cud do it for real...but ends up only in memory!

hoooo....one side of my mind tells me i should say yes to time travel so i can see whats in store for me in future and go back and correct my mess....
but other half says no for time travel as past is past and i dont regret anything i have doneand i dont want to know what i got for my present....bcos future as it comes it will be present...

there are references in our old Indian tales about time travel. for eg: the king who traveled to Indraloka to invite everyone for the opening of Puri Jagannatha temple. these epics were written centuries back and it is amazing that they knew all the stuff that Einstein predicted much later.
I believe in it and would love to do it :)

Hi Sukanya, thanx for being part of the 2050 team.
Im a a time traveller...time travel is posible theoratically in physics. But in reality it will take alot of effort, experiments and much more collaboration to achieve the imposible.
Jumping through space and time is amazing, almost romantic, but guess what, the chances of coming out alive of such jumps are almost nil.
On a more phylosophical note, time travel, or travelling to the future/ past means the person feels he doesnt belong here. Maybe he doesnt like the idea of being left behind in this backward world.
There are many more, you can read alot in SF novels.
Maybe you can post a link to this post in 2050, and get more people to comment, or post the post in 2050...

how do u see.... when light hits ur retina ?......ok...now look at this theory...
light travels in space.....well if u travel faster than light in space and u overtake it....u might end up seeing the image ....the creation of the universe...but on the other hand....if u travel at the speed of light or higher...u'll become light.....now we all know that... E = MC^2....right...now become light and overtake light...tis been proved it is possible to get faster than light....then overtake it and reverse and convert light to mass and u might be able to see the past....interact with it...I dunno.....
I knw there r some flaws in my theory......but still thing it is possible....

Time travel is what we do often, when in our minds, we go back in time. Ofcourse we are yet to accomplish the other end of the spectrum, into the future. Some astrologers and saamiyars, claim such, though.
@jinguchaks... when i posted this article i was thinking about Time travel back to a time when you were not born or smthing like that and trying to live in that particular point of time.
When that kind of thing comes true, we would be the only one who would know what is going to happen next and others living in that time will be amazed when we predict the next thing that is going to happen.. all sounds.. tooooo fancy but sounds pretty exciting if it is possible for real..

Actually sukhanya ... there is no such thing as Time, Space. they are all figments of imagination, modifications of dimensions that doesn't exist.
To be more scientific, the existing phenomenon had a beginning and with that time and space started existing. There are some science papers that I've gone through. According to Big bang theory, people say that the universe began with a blast. Let me explain this in detail ...
In the initial stages the Universe is assumed to be made up of a single mass (huge, not really tiny)
The gravity of this mass would have made it to crunch to a zero size, infinite density, infinite internal energy.
Infinite density would make a system non movable, zero size and unchangeable.
ie instead of saying this absolute initial state as a single mass, we could safely say its nothing.
since this state doesn't change, It existed for a infinite period of Time, It exists and will exist. not so this mass of space and time, which is a temporary construct.
Now how do you picture Time travel in this?
If you think this is the final picture of the beginning of universe(thats a bigger story). neways, lets analyse to what degree we have progressed. We know that gravity deflects even light, which is the fastest moving particle in the universe. If light were to deflect everything else would. now we perceive everything wrt light, that means what might be a curved surface, we actually notice it as a straight line. This is the subtle ground of the universe, gravity.
This is a relative existance, which means this gravity controls the relativeness of space and time. ie Space and Time is not uniform at all places because of space-time curvature. It depends upon the amount of curvature. The light that started of from the beginning is all around us, that we call the cosmic background radiation.
The cosmic background radiation is nothing but reflection of all the events in this universe which keeps rotating around the subtle ground of gravity, which could be used as a fossil of all previous events. I'm yet thinking of a fossil that will define the future events. I will write about that once it hits my brain.
This paper is still incomplete. coz I need lot of space and more important lot of time, Illusions of existance.
